Shigella bacillus .

TRANSMISSION:
The bacilli
are excreted in the faeces and through
defection sanitation and bad hygiene, food and water can then become
contaminated

1 to 4 days

Dehydration

COMPLICATION

General nursing care and isolation precaution

Adequate hydration oral electrolyte supplements
3.
Antimicrobial therapy
4.
Liquid diet initially

Diet should be soft and small
