CLINICAL FEATURES

Lesion appears red
·
Patches of the skin covered with silvery seals
·
Dead skin resulting increased in rate of skin
growth
·
Multiple bleeding on red patches
Most common areas are
·
Scalp
·
Elbow knees
·
Genitalia
DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION

Physical assessment
·
Biopsy of skin
·
Causative family history
·
Assess the signs of nail on the scalp
COMPLICATION
·
Fever
·
Chills
·
Electrolyte imbalance
·
Arthritis
·
Infection
MEDICAL MANAGEMENT
·
Anti inflammatory drugs are used
·
Systemic agents are given
·
Topical agent example salicylic are used
NURSING MANAGEMENT
·
Examine the areas especially prone to psoriasis
such as knees ,elbows and scalp , fingers etc.
·
Assess the impact of disease interaction with
family and friends
·
Assess on how patient coping with psoriatic skin
condition and appearance of lesion
