v The edial or sternal end is rounded and articulates with the manubrium of the sternum .
v The broad flat lateral end articulates with the acromion of the scapula.
v Conoid ligament attaches to the conoid tubercle on the inferior surface of the lateral end.
v There is impression for the costoclavicular ligament  on the inferior surface of the sternal end.

v It articulates with the manubrium of the sternum at the sternoclavicular joint and forms the acromioclavicular  joint with the acromion process of the scapula.
v The clavicle provides the only bony link between the upper limb and the axial skeleton.
v The clavicle is one of the most frequently broken bones in the body.
v The clavicular  mid region is the most frequent fracture site because the junction of the two curves is the weakest point of clavicle.
v Even compression of the clavicle often causes damage to the median nerve lying between the clavicle and the second rib.
v A fractured clavicle is usually treated with a regular sling to keep the arm from moving outward.
